Join us for our end of year celebration as we come together to reflect on another successful year in business!
Our 2024 Event will commence with a Female Founder conversation- Mandy Richards will have a conversation with Verity Tuck.
Verity was the co-founder (alongside Hannah Spilva) of LVLY. The idea for LVLY started with a purpose rather than a product. Verity and Hannah wanted to build a business that would help keep loved ones connected and spread a bit of joy in the world. They were living away from home, missing friends and family, and saw a gap in the market to send affordable flowers and gifts that weren’t the traditional red roses and fluffy teddy bears. Verity and Hannah successfully exited the business in 2022, selling to Limitless Technology.
After selling the business, Verity founded a new business (alongside husband Mike Fraser) – Goldee, an AI assistant for parents that summarises emails, screenshots and photos to automatically create a calendar invite for important events. Goldee is the AI personal assistant for busy families.
Verity will join us to talk about:
- Her start-up journey/growth journey- what were the main factors that contributed to success
- Understanding the customer and how she designed a business for that
- Making partnerships work
- Coming to the decision to exit Lvly
- The driver to start another business
- Leveraging tech and now AI in businesses
- Biggest challenges
- Taking stock of small /large successes and celebrating in business
- Advice or tips for women in our community in the early stages of business
Following our Female Founder conversation we will announce the 2024 Sister Awards for notable Sisters in our community. We hope you can join us for our final event for 2024!
