Empowering Female Founders for Social Impact

Join us for an inspirational panel discussion, “Good Business for Social Impact,” where we will hear from various women working in business with a strong commitment to social good. This event is ideal for Sisters in our community who are keen to undertake ventures with a positive impact.

This panel discussion will explore different types of GOOD business models including: socially responsible business (environment, supply chain/end of lifecycle, community orientation, give backs),  social enterprise, social purpose business and not for profits.  

The discussion will also address the following themes: 

  • Challenges of integrating good business into existing business models
  • The importance of brand position and storytelling 
  • Recommendations for networks, including: communities/platforms/funding sources
  • Practical tips for starting out

Panelists
we are thrilled to bring you the following panellists: 

  • Dewi Cooke: CEO, The Social Studio, a social enterprise using fashion and creativity to create work and learning opportunities for Melbourne’s refugee and new migrant communities.
  • Lara Stephenson: Co-founder of Social Good Outpost, an organisation helping social enterprises succeed through design, communication, and digital solutions.
  • Mindy Leow: Director of Certification and Programs at B Lab AANZ, B-Corp is working with hundreds of businesses to measure and improve their impact, Mindy is committed to helping enterprises infuse purpose and reimagine business models to create deep impact, like social enterprises.
  • Donna Logue: Program Manager at Two Good Co, an organisation supporting women who have experienced homelessness, domestic violence or other trauma. Two Good promotes self-belief, positive connections and the realisation of potential through meaningful employment.
