You’ll dig deeper into the problem your idea solves, explore who your potential customer is, and use light testing and research to see if your idea has real potential. You’ll also reflect on whether your idea aligns with your personal values and life situation—so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Test Your Idea is offered in two formats: guided (with a facilitator) and self-guided (on your own). The content is the same, it’s just delivered in different ways, depending on your preference. Read on to find out more.

- You prefer to work at your own pace
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Clearly articulate the problem their business idea solves
- Identify who experiences this problem and how their idea helps
- Use light validation methods to explore the viability of their idea
- Reflect on their motivation (‘why’) and whether self-employment fits their current life and values
- Outline one or more small next steps to begin testing or refining their business idea
- Complete a business readiness checklist to help decide whether to move forward, pivot, or pause
