Every business journey comes with questions — and you’re not alone in asking them. The FAQ section is here to give you clear, practical answers to the things Sisters most often wonder about. We’ve gathered the questions we hear most, and tailored our FAQs to align with our business stages to give you clear, practical answers right when you need them.

Yes if:
  • you identify as a woman
  • you’re living in Australia or part of an International partner program
  • you’re experiencing challenges finding a job that meets your needs AND
  • you are exploring business as an alternative to meet your needs OR you need more support to help your early-stage business be financially viable.
  • if you feel aligned to Global Sisters’ Sister Code.
You may also be from one of Global Sisters partner organisations. 

No. All Global Sisters business education and coaching programs are completely FREE of charge, subsidised by generous philanthropic, Government and corporate supporters. There is no catch, ever.

Global Sisters recognises that businesses don’t happen overnight, great businesses can take time to start and gain momentum. In recognition of this, Global Sisters offers 3 years of free business support but you can stay part of the community and access content and events forever.

Global Sisters can support you with access to quality business education, group and individual coaching support, access to tailored micro-finance and insurance products, access to an online e-commerce platform and can connect you into a community of like-minded business women.

Global Sisters can open doors but you have to walk through them. You have to take the steps, put the systems in place, make the decisions and pay the bills, after all you are the business founder and owner. 

While Global Sisters tries to profile businesses in our community, your business may or may not be profiled by Global Sisters in marketing materials.

Global Sisters is a non-profit organisation supported by generous organisations and individuals who understand that incredible things happen when you back women. Global Sisters operates a lean and efficient team, using technology to enable and amplify our support.

Survey data is important to us to demonstrate the impact of our support to our funders.

You’re in the right place. Global Sisters supports women with no ideas, too many ideas or an early stage hunch as well as women with existing businesses. If you are looking to decide on a business idea, we suggest you complete My Big Idea: self-guided or My Big Idea: LIVE– sign up here.

Global Sisters offers a range of programs and supports appropriate for existing businesses which are not yet consistently profitable. Sign up to the Sister Portal to access coaching programs, business education, accessible finance products and a community of like-minded business women. We suggest exploring the First 10 Customers program or monthly Coaching Circles as a place to start. Register your interest here to sell through the Global Sisters Marketplace.

Back her brilliance is a National Directory connecting conscious consumers and corporate buyers with high-performing, women-led businesses that prioritise fair pay, ethical sourcing, sustainability and social good.

Navigate to the Sister Portal sign in page and click on Forgot Password, you will be sent an email to reset your password. If you’re still having trouble, contact concierge@globalsisters.org for technical support.

Log into your Sister Portal account to update your details. You can update your email address under ‘Account Settings’. You can update your business name and business details under ‘Profile’.

You may need to clear your browser cache, follow the instructions below and if you are still experiencing issues, please contact concierge@globalsisters.org for technical support.

Instructions for PC users:
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2.  At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files,” check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.
Instructions for Mac users:
  1. From the home screen, Select Settings > Safari.
  2. At the bottom of Safari’s settings screen, Select Clear cookies and data or Clear Cookies and Clear Cache.
  3. Confirm when prompted.
